Tavata is now part of Eventilla – how will Tavata's journey continue?

The Finnish event management system Eventilla has acquired Tavata. The acquisition provides us with stronger backing and enables even smoother tools for event organizers. But what does this mean in practice for Tavata users?

From the very beginning, we have built Tavata for one purpose: to bring people together and create meaningful connections. Now, this core expertise of ours is combined with Eventilla’s strong experience in event management.

Business as usual, but stronger

For our customers, day-to-day operations will continue as before. Tavata will continue as its own separate product, and the familiar tavata.events address will also remain.

With the acquisition, we gain Eventilla’s broader development and support resources behind us. Our staff will continue working with the product as part of a new, larger team of experts, which enables even faster development of the service in the future. In addition, Eventilla’s experienced customer support and sales team will serve you in all Tavata-related matters going forward.

Seamless connection to event management

Until now, event organizers may have had to gather their event tools from multiple different providers: registrations, invitations, and communication from one partner, and the networking during the event from another. With the acquisition, we offer a unified ecosystem that seamlessly covers the entire lifecycle of an event.

“We built Tavata so that people could connect. Now we are handing it over to a home where it can grow further than we could have taken it ourselves. I will gladly remain an advocate for Tavata in the future,” summarizes Jari Puranen, the founder of Tavata.

“Eventilla brings attendees to the event, and Tavata gets them to meet. Together we cover the participant’s entire journey from the invitation all the way to the encounters. Our goal is for the participant to get something lasting from every event: a network that travels with them from one event to the next,” continues Pekka Huttunen, CEO of Eventilla.
